That Renesas USB 3.0 controller thingy should be my driver and windows trys to tell me that it should be working, but truth is different..

I think you personally have corrupted system files.

Open command prompt as administrator and type in SFC /Scannow /r and follow the prompt. It should tell you that it will scan on reboot. Reboot your computer and it will begin scanning. THIS CAN TAKE 3-6 HOURS TO DO DEPENDING HOW FAST YOUR HDD is so i highly recommend doing it overnight.  If that doesn't fix it, do the below or you can do the below then as a last resort, do the above.

my solution was to go into Device Manager and delete all the USB controllers and hubs. Reboot to allow Windows to re-discover the hardware and reload the drivers. This problem occurs maybe twice a year and this procedure fixes it each time.

OR

Look in c:\windows\inf (ensure you can see hidden and system files) and see if you can find the two files named usbstor.inf and usbstor.pnf.

If they are missing, you need to restore/replace them.

Copies of these files may be found in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository inside a folder named usbstor.inf_xxxxxxxx. If more than one such folder exists, use the folder with the latest (newest) date.

Create a System Restore point first and reboot afterwards. If the above doesn't work and the problem is recent enough, you could rollback Windows to a time that the USB ports did work.

Did the 2 steps you had quoted in your post, the Device manager part I have done multiple times before, as I knew about it beforehand, but it doesn't fix my problem.

Also found the missing files from INF from the System32 folder and sent them to the right place, but it didn't fix the problem.

As for 3rd option, I did the Command Prompt thing, but as I rebooted my computer, it didn't begin to scan anything, but just loaded itself up as of usual.

I just closed the Command Prompt after that loaded up, but should I do something else to start the scanning?

---------- Edit------------

Edit doing the scanning differently now, typed the command as sfc /Scannow and it started scanning, left out the /r and added space after sfc. And it takes few minutes, not hours.

-----------EDIT 2 ------------

Checked the USB 3.0 port that the last working port until Saturday, it doesn't even act as power source like the other ones, just does nothing? So with that, it's not probably software related, maybe a hardware issue instead?

Edit3:

Going through the huge CBS file atm to see what errors there are.

EDIT 4:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/928228

Scanning through it atm. But it's huge and did Control + F "fail" to see how many failed things there were and found plenty.

Ye i think your USB ports are dead if there is no power. Just buy a new laptop its not worth the effort fixing it now and you are overdue for a new laptop. If in the device manager is not showing the usb ports, then its most likely dead at this point.

Theres no power in the one Usb 3.0 only, rest act as power source, but don't regonize any devices.
