Make sure your monitor is set to RGB Full instead of Limited

Quote

I've been using my Acer IPS 1080p 60hz monitor for over 2 years now. I always thought that the monitor was nice, but the IPS wasn't really worth it. The blacks weren't quite as black as I thought they could really be.

Until I realized that I wasn't fully utilizing my monitors colors.

In the Nvidia control panel, under "Change Resolution" under the Display tab, the Output Dynamic Range value is automatically set to "Limited" by default. Change this to "Full" to get the full range out of your colors. I saw this in an old reddit post, and oh sweet jesus, this makes a huge difference.

This should work for you if you have a monitor, not a TV.

ONLY FOR HDMI USERS
